show background

After last years event in Stockholm the upcoming BioTech Forum event takes place at Bella Center, Copenhagen on September 23rd-25th, now in parallel with two other exhibitions, Nanotech and ScanLab.   In it's seventh year, BioTech Forum is the largest and leading event of its kind in Northern Europe. The fair attracts representatives from "Big Pharma", national and regional clusters, banks, organisations and industry experts from all over the world. Leading players from the global life science community, venture capitalists, and biotech companies will meet up at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, all with the purpose of making new contacts and new deals.

For the fourth consecutive year, ETNA are organising a UK pavilion at BioTech Forum.  Benefits of being part of a UK pavilion include:

  • An excellent central group location.
  • Complete shell scheme stand - including carpet, fascia, spotlights, power outlet
  • On site support including lounge/meeting area, serving hot & cold refreshments; information point for UK industry.
  • An electronic guide to the British Companies at BioTech Forum will be available online prior to the show and will be promoted to companies in the marketplace
  • In addition to the overall administration of the group and the above on-site facilities, ETNA provides help & advice prior to, during and after the event and can assist you in arranging meetings outside of the trade fair.

The price for a stand on the UK pavilion is £1,800.  In addition, we charge an administration and on-site management fee of £375 (excluding VAT).  The fee covers our administration costs for the event and on-site service costs (ie on-site representative, refreshments, practical assistance before the event and on-site assistance during the build-up and the show itself).

We will require a deposit of £1,000 on receipt of your application form, with the balance due 30 days later..  Please note, our administration fee will not be refundable in the case of a company withdrawing from the event after the cut off date.  Companies wishing to withdraw from the event after we have entered into a contract with the organisers will be liable for all costs as per the terms and conditions.

UKTI support for this event has been confirmed with grants of £1,400 available for 5 UK companies.

Grants will be available ONLY for New-to-export SMEs (with the exceptions of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Brazil, Gulf Co-operation Council (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates), Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam) where the SMEs need not be new exporters, but must be new to market).  The UKTI definitions of ‘new-to-export’ and SMEs can be found here.  Each eligible business is entitled to exhibit with grant support on a total of three occasions counted from 1 April 2006.  Previous SESA grants will not be included in this total, which is a lifetime limit and can not be renewed.

Group benefits include all booking administration, liaising with contractors, etc.  Group stands are normally well positioned in the exhibition hall and have a high standard of presentation and finish, often far superior to the organisers' shell stands.  Exhibitors, particularly newcomers, benefit from the local knowledge and market experience of other companies in the group.

Exhibitors receive space rental, shell stand design, construction and installation, spot lighting, power, carpet, fascia (to include company name and stand number).  In addition there would be an information area (dependent on the exhibition this can include lounge / meeting area, refreshments, communications and interpreter).  Additional display aids must be arranged by the individual companies.  Any additional on-site services can be ordered through ETNA.

In addition, for the first time this year, ETNA has the opportunity to offer delegate partnering passes at a discounted price.   To get the discounted price we need to register around 20 UK delegates for the partnering and then will be able to offer these at a price of 3000sk rather than the list price of 5995sk.  If you are planning on joining the partnering at Biotech Forum please advise me and do not register online.  The partnering activity is designed with the purpose of providing delegates with an unprecedented opportunity to meet as many new potential partners and customers as they choose, in just three days.

ETNA does not provide any insurance cover for this event.  Companies should therefore ensure that all possible liabilities are covered, including the possibility of cancellation or postponement due to external causes.

ETNA will provide information on group travel and a freight agent for each show, although exhibitors are responsible for making their own arrangements.  Unless you inform us to the contrary, we will assume you agree to your company's name being included in the list of participants made available to our freight and travel agents and other relevant service providers.
