- 6th-8th October 2009

Turning good ideas and innovative products into business capital means talking to the companies that can make it happen for you.

And over just three days next October (6 - 8) you could put your products and services in front of the biggest players in the biotech industry.

They'll all be in one place, and all in the mood to listen to new ideas.

BIOTECHNICA is Europe's largest and leading event for life sciences and biotechnology. This year, 11,000 visitors from over 40 countries, as well as 535 international exhibitors, were there to share the innovations that will shape the industry in the years ahead. Being part of this massive opportunity couldn't be easier.

For the third year running, ETNA are organising the UK Pavilion, and if you are a first time exhibitor you can take advantage of a £1400 UKTI grant (4 available).

Being here could be the best business decision you make this year. So put the date in your diary and get in touch to see how simple it can be. Contact Sam on samantha.burton@emtechna.net or call 01276 471321.

Grants of £1,400 are available for 4 companies wishing to exhibit at Biotechnica so please contact me today to express interest and advise if you think you would be eligible for the grant.  Application forms are available from Samantha Burton (samantha.burton@emtechna.net).

BIOTECHNICA 2009: Turning Ideas into Value. Turning Knowledge into Sales.

CPhI 2009 - 13th-15th October, Madrid, Spain

With the pharmaceutical market flying high, CPhI Worldwide 2009 offers a host of networking opportunities to support your business needs.  Join pharma professionals from over 125 countries as they gather in Madrid to discuss the industry's most important trends, developments and innovations.

CPhI is the ideal forum to meet new customers, develop existing partnerships, discuss trends and exhibit in front of people who can really make things happen for your business.

ICSE, P-MEC and BioPh will all run alongside CPhI Worldwide to offer all your pharmaceutical ingrediants, outsourcing, equipment and bio-solution needs in one location.

A new stand alone event, BioPh: BioSolutions for Pharma will this year debut alongside CPhI in Madrid.  All companies and organisations dealing with the research and development of new treatment methods made through biotechnological processes or which are derived from or use live organisms will benefit from the mix of exhibition, seminars and 1-2-1 partnering meetings at BioPh.

Hosting such an event alongisde ICSE, CPhI and PMEC offers unrivalled networking and commercial opportunities, creating a perfect synergy in the world of drug research and manufacturing.

If you are interested in exhibiting as part of a UK group at either CPhI or BioPh please contact me asap.  As previous exhibitors at CPhI will know, space is not cheap, however though stand sharing we should be able to offer a better price than booking direct with the organisers.  The price is dependant on the number of exhibitors but to give an estimate, half of a 21sqm stand will cost in the region of £6,500.  Please note, that new exhibitors may be able to get some funding through the UK Trade and Investment SOLO scheme.

2009 sees Biotech Forum return to Stockholm with a focus on stronger partnering and running in parallel with the Annual General Meeting for Doctors and ScanLab.

ETNA have successfully run the UK Pavilion at Biotech Forum for the previous four years and in 2009 have again secured funding from UK Trade & Investment to support the UK contingency.  We are currently putting together a package which includes not only a stand on the exhibition floor but entry to the partnering facility - allowing you to preset meetings with other exhibitors in advance of the show.  This aspect of the show has been growing and growing and a huge emphasis is being put on partnering by the show organisers for 2009.

Although final figures are not yet confirmed I am expecting the cost per company to be in the region of £1,600.

UK Trade and Investment have revised their terms and conditions of their Tradeshow Access Programme and as of 1st April 2009 ALL companies who are eligible will have previous TAP grants deleted and will all return to zero.  In addition, each company will now be eligible for 6 grants rather than the previous 3 limit.  Do bear in mind that you are only eligible to apply for a grant for a show you have not exhibited at before.  If you would like to see a full copy of the new terms & conditions to check if you are eligible, please contact me.

Grants of £1,400 are available for 7 companies wishing to exhibit at Biotech Forum so please contact me today to express interest and advise if you think you would be eligible for the grant.  Application forms are available from Samantha Burton (samantha.burton@emtechna.net).

Government funding is available for eligible SMEs at Biotech Forum & Biotechnica.  To find out if you are eligible please visit the terms & conditions.  It may be possible to get funding for other shows detailed above - ask us for more information.

Please contact Sam at samantha.burton@emtechna.net if you would like more information on the above shows.
